eggs in a fridge

Thanks for your question Amanda!

We recommend that all eggs should be stored in the carton, in the body of the refrigerator. When removing from the fridge, we recommend that they don't stay unrefrigerated for more than 2 hours.

During the grading process, eggs are washed which removes dirt, bacteria and also the protective bloom the egg is laid with. Once this bloom has been removed, the porous shell is more susceptible to bacteria growth. Keeping your eggs in the refrigerator will limit that bacteria growth, keeping your eggs fresher, for longer.
